You can enroll:
During your Initial Enrollment Period (IEP): A 7-month window starting 3 months before you turn 65.
During the General Enrollment Period (GEP): From January 1 to March 31 each year, if you missed your IEP.
During the Annual Enrollment Period (AEP): From October 15 to December 7, when you can change or update your plan.
Special Enrollment Periods (SEPs) may apply in specific circumstances, like losing employer coverage.
No, Medicare doesn’t cover all healthcare costs. Common exclusions include:
